Assessment Framework

We focus on material ESG metrics. What does that mean? It means we do not present every ESG data point we can find in the hope that 'more is better'. Instead we surface and analyse in detail those metrics which, if poorly managed, will negatively impact the enterprise value of a company.

We utilise the research and frameworks of leading organisations to ensure the data captured is material to the company (and its sector) or country. We then use simple and transparent scoring logic to assign a grade which you can 'unpack' for any company or country.

Integrum ESG is a licensee of the SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) Materiality Map.

This proposes the most important sustainability issues for each global sub-sector, and is the result of a five year project involving multiple stakeholder groups. Integrum ESG believes this Materiality Map is fast becoming an industry standard.

Integrum ESG applies the Impact framework developed by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (2019) "In search of impact: Measuring the full value of capital. Update: The Sustainable Investment Framework". This framework enables investors to make simple and practical measurements across six themes which are highly representative of a company’s contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Collaborating informally with other investment institutions, we created our own Sovereign ESG assessment framework. This assesses ESG performance at the country level, using a focused set of metrics that are informed by data from reputable, international non-profit organisations - which we disclose with complete transparency.
