Integrum ESG AB is the Integrum ESG group company through which we provide ESG ratings to clients in the European Union, and it has notified the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) of its intention to operate under the EU ESG Ratings Regulation. Integrum ESG AB is a Swedish limited company (organisation number 559606-4534; registered office Malmvägen 71, 141 71 Segeltorp, Sweden), wholly owned by Integrum ESG Ltd in the United Kingdom.
This page explains, in summary, how Integrum ESG AB meets the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2024/3005 on the transparency and integrity of ESG rating activities.
Regulation (EU) 2024/3005 has applied since 2 July 2026 and makes ESMA the single, direct supervisor of ESG rating providers operating in the EU. It was adopted on 27 November 2024 and published in the Official Journal on 12 December 2024.
The Regulation has three main aims:
For our clients, this means that the ESG ratings they receive from Integrum ESG AB come from a provider that has notified ESMA and is subject to its supervision.
Integrum ESG AB notified ESMA on 22 October 2026 that it will operate as a small ESG rating provider under the temporary regime in Article 5 of the Regulation. Once ESMA has confirmed that we meet the size criteria, it will enter us on its public register of ESG rating providers.
The temporary regime runs for three years. It is open to providers established in the EU that qualify as a small undertaking, and as part of a small group, under the EU Accounting Directive. In practice, this means not exceeding two of the following three limits, tested both for Integrum ESG AB and for the Integrum ESG group as a whole:
| Criterion | Limit |
|---|---|
| Balance sheet total | EUR 5 million |
| Net turnover | EUR 10 million |
| Average number of employees | 50 |
We monitor these limits each financial year. If we exceed them, or when the three-year period ends, we will apply to ESMA for full authorisation under Article 6 and will update this page accordingly.
As a small ESG rating provider, Integrum ESG AB is subject to Article 15(1), (5) and (7), Articles 23 and 24 and Articles 32 to 37 of the Regulation. The table below summarises how we meet each group of obligations.
| Area | Provisions | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Independence and objectivity | Article 15 | Our ratings are produced by our research team, independently of commercial, sales and client relationships. We are paid by the investors who use our ratings, not by the companies we rate, and we do not provide consulting services to rated companies. |
| Methodology | Article 15 | Our methodologies are rule-based, applied consistently across our coverage universe and reviewed at least annually. Ratings change only in line with our published methodology. |
| Records | Article 15 | We keep records of our rating activities, data sources and methodology changes, within an information security framework certified to ISO 27001. |
| Public disclosure | Article 23 | We publish on our website a description of our methodologies, models and key rating assumptions, including how the Environmental, Social and Governance factors are assessed and weighted. |
| Disclosure to users and rated companies | Article 24 | Clients receive more detailed information on our methodologies, data sources and ratings through Integrum Assist and our client documentation. |
| Cooperation with ESMA | Articles 32 to 37 | We respond fully and promptly to ESMA requests for information, investigations and on-site inspections. |
Although not required under the temporary regime, we also maintain a complaints procedure and give rated companies a route to raise factual errors in the data we hold on them (see Contact below).
Integrum ESG AB is the legal entity that issues and distributes ESG ratings to clients in the EU, and it is accountable to ESMA for them. It draws on research, data and technology provided by its parent, Integrum ESG Ltd, under an intra-group services agreement.
Integrum ESG Ltd serves clients in the United Kingdom and outside the EU. The UK does not yet regulate ESG rating providers; the Financial Conduct Authority has consulted on a regime (CP25/34), and Integrum ESG Ltd took part in that consultation with a formal response. The regime is not yet in force.
Clients in the EU contract with Integrum ESG AB for ESG ratings and will be able to verify our registration on ESMA’s public register of ESG rating providers once ESMA has entered us on it. The ratings, data and Integrum ESG Platform they use are unchanged.
